Wortmann Warranty in the Event of a Missing Serial Number

I don't know if this is an isolated case, but I have a Wortmann PC here where the serial number is apparently missing from the BIOS (or wherever it's stored) from when it was built. It looks like this:

Would it be possible to add a field where you can enter the serial number manually if necessary?
