Search starting with the first character

The global search should display relevant results as soon as the first character is entered and automatically update as you continue typing. A brief pause in typing should prevent unnecessary queries. Delayed responses must not overwrite more recent results.

The existing keyboard controls and grouping should be retained. For short search terms, the results must be sensibly limited and sorted by relevance. The behavior should also be tested on a large number of devices.
