Snooze feature for check alerts

There are cases in which a check on a device reports a warning or a critical status, but an alert for that specific device is temporarily not desired.

For example, consultation with the customer may still be pending, or it may already be known that the problem cannot be resolved until a later date.

Currently, the corresponding check for the device would have to be completely disabled. However, this carries the risk that relevant changes or new messages will not be detected during this period.

Request:
A snooze function for each device and check, which allows an existing warning or alert to be temporarily suppressed for a limited time.

For example:

  • Snooze for 1 day

  • Snooze for 3 days

  • Snooze for 7 days

  • Snooze for 14 days

  • Optional: Custom end date

After the selected period has expired, the check should automatically become active again and report new or ongoing warnings.

Ideally, it should also be clear until when a check is paused and, if applicable, who activated the snooze function and when.

This way, the check wouldn’t have to be permanently disabled for the device in question, and monitoring would generally continue.

(Example from Riverbird in the web interface: Set the check to "OK")
