Access or verification is not possible on Veeam B&R with MFA enabled.

On Veeam B&R without MFA, access and checks are possible.

In Veeam, MFA can be disabled for service accounts.

Accordingly, there should be a way—in the check settings or otherwise—to define the user account used to access Veeam B&R.
