Check: Eaton USV per SNMP

There is currently no pre-built check available for Eaton UPS units. Pre-built UPS checks are only available for APC and CyberPower, so an Eaton UPS can currently only be monitored using a custom check in Simple SNMP mode—which involves the work of identifying the appropriate OIDs from the manufacturer’s MIB.

We would like to see a pre-installed check that reads data from an Eaton UPS via SNMP: power source, battery charge, estimated remaining runtime, battery health, and load—similar to the existing checks for APC and CyberPower.

If the check is based on the standard UPS MIB (RFC 1628) rather than the manufacturer’s proprietary MIB, it will also cover other UPS manufacturers that support this MIB. The procedure and scope can be modeled after “Cyberpower UPS/ATS,” which was developed using the same approach.
